Çetin Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) was awarded a "Zero Waste Certificate" after establishing a Zero Waste Management System. This certification followed an audit conducted by the Siirt Governorship Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization, as part of the "Zero Waste Project" implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
Çetin Dam and HEPP, which began electricity generation at full capacity in June 2020 and has a total installed capacity of 420 MW, is the largest dam of its kind in Turkey and Europe, built using roller compacted concrete (RCC) technology.
