Çetin Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant, located on the Botan Stream within the borders of Şirvan and Pervari districts of Siirt, the construction of which was started by Limak Construction in July 2017, started energy production with its 2 units that were accepted by the Ministry.
With a total planned installed capacity of 420 MW, Çetin Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant will generate 1 billion 174 million kWh of energy per year when all units are commissioned. The remaining two units of the plant, which is the largest dam in both Europe and Turkey in its RCC body type, standing 165 meters high with a body volume of 4,726,527 cubic meters, are scheduled to begin production in May.
